CALIFORNIA, U.S. - Facebook-owned instant messaging application - WhatsApp is believed to be gearing to bring its service to devices apart from the smartphones.
According to reports, the company is prepping a dedicated application for Apple’s tablet lineup.
There was, however, no confirmation on whether WhatsApp will deliver a dedicated app or whether it will just be a client application like WhatsApp Web for Windows and MacBook users.
Some reports have however confirmed that an iPad version of the application might soon hit the AppStore.
In recent months, WhatsApp has been adding a number of new features to make the experience better for millions of its users.
Last month, the instant messaging app added a new feature called “delete for everyone” for its Android, iOS and Windows apps that allow you to delete messages to individuals as well as group texts within seven minutes of sending them.
Over the next few days, WhatsApp is also expected to add a new feature called “WhatsApp Pay” which will help users send and receive money within the app itself.
