Bolsters Proprietary Technology Protection and Enforcement
LAS VEGAS, NV / ACCESSWIRE / January 26, 2021 / Vivakor, Inc. (OTC PINK:VIVK) ('Vivakor' or the 'Company'), a socially responsible operator, acquirer and developer of clean energy technologies and environmental solutions, primarily focused on soil remediation, is pleased to announce that it has been granted a patent, titled Flash Evaporator to Separate Bitumen and Hydrocarbon Condensate, by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, a key patent protecting the Company's technology related to its Remediation Processing Centers (RPCs).
This milestone marks an important achievement for Vivakor, as the Company's technology at its RPCs has been proven effective to separate oil from contaminated soil material, with RPCs currently deployed in Kuwait and Utah. The RPC operations result in the extraction the hydrocarbons from waste that leaves the hydrocarbons intact for reuse.
The Company's RPC technology has successfully separated soil material containing up to more than 20% oil at a rate of 20 tons per hour. The Company has plans of deploying multiple RPCs over the next year in multiple locations worldwide, working towards accomplishing the Company's mission to utilize clean technology to turn waste material into a valuable fuel or other useful product.
Vivakor Chief Executive Officer, Matt Nicosia, commented, 'We are extremely proud of this achievement and believe technology protection and enforcement is a necessity. Our proprietary technology is the ideal clean technology solution for the remediation of hydrocarbon contaminated sands. We believe that this is the only system on the market today that can clean soil with more than 7% hydrocarbon contamination while also leaving the hydrocarbons intact for recycling and reuse.'
