London, United Kingdom - June 4, 2023 - Oxfo, a U.K.-based manufacturer with a production history of 15 years, has officially launched its highly-anticipated OX1 folding electric bike. Backed by a minimalist design philosophy, Oxfo's OX1 promises to deliver a new urban style to the e-bike market.
The OX1 is defined by its simplicity and functionality. With a patented unibody frame design made from a proprietary magnesium alloy, this bike stands out as a head-turner. This frame not only houses all the electrics and wiring internally for a clean look but also contributes to the lightweight design, coming in at just 16.5 kg (36.3 lbs).
The OX1 sets a new standard for portability and storage with its quick-folding design. In less than ten seconds, it can be folded down to a compact size of 720 x 350 x 580mm. Once folded, its components are clamped together magnetically, ready to be rolled along using the raised handlebar.
The bike is powered by either a 6.4Ah or a 7Ah Samsung lithium battery, tastefully hidden in the seat post. It boasts an impressive maximum range of up to 135 km (approximately 84 miles) per charge, making it an ideal choice for urban commuters who can expect a week's commute on a single charge. Several riding modes are available with the OX1, adjustable from a small display on the handlebars.
The OX1 has additional features that enhance the riding experience. These include a 250W motor with a torque sensor, rear suspension for a smoother ride, and 16-inch x 1.75-inch Kenda tires. The bike also sports a single-speed (52T front / 16T rear) design.
OXFO is offering the OX1 on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/oxfo-ox1-the-most-stylish-fold-roll-e-bike. The campaign features two versions of the OX1: a standard version with a capped speed of 15.5 m.p.h. and an OX1 Max version for the US market, which sports a slightly larger seat post battery capacity, a thumb throttle, and a max speed of 20 m.p.h.
Purchasing the OX1 during the crowdfunding campaign comes with an enticing offer: a 32% early bird discount, making the bike available for $1,350 USD.
Oxfo is confident in the quality of the OX1, providing a 10-year warranty on the frame and a 2-year warranty on the components.
With its stylish design, impressive features, and commitment to minimalism and functionality, the Oxfo OX1 is poised to redefine the urban commuting experience.
