A prominent British author has recently released his newest literary masterpiece-a captivating narrative set in a world recovering from the aftermath of the pandemic. This extraordinary novel chronicles the struggle to break free from the constraints of lockdown, weaving a tale of resilience and the fervent pursuit of freedom. James Gilbraith, from Blackburn in Lancashire, has unveiled Anarchy Pie - fishing adventures that nurture the soul.The book's narrative focuses on a riverside treasure hunt for small wins and tiny triumphs in a world that's awash with charred superlatives.Following on from the author's previous books, Terminal Chancer and Hooked On Hope, Anarchy Pie travels the desire lines of warmth and friendship. James has suggested a soundtrack to accompany the book as he pitches the chapters as movie shorts. Within its twelve chapters we discover giant salmon, mythical trout, witches, folklore, ghosts, Romans, killer dogs, grief, quests and small worlds.Father-of-two James said: "Most of us live in small worlds without much chaos. The simplest pursuits usually lead to the greatest pleasures. In a world bogged down in an endless tide of bad news. I just wanted to get back to basics and make people laugh."
James Gilbraith is from Blackburn, is 54 and lives with his wife and two children in Clitheroe, Lancashire. He is the author of Terminal Chancer and Hooked on Hope.
He is a life-long fisherman and avid fly fisher with a long-lasting love affair with the riverbank. He describes himself as going nowhere slowly. He is a frequent contributor to Fly Culture and Fallon's Angler magazines.
