In a commendable move, a renowned casino site in New Zealand has been recognised for its outstanding efforts in adopting a CO2 initiative. While the online gambling industry often prioritises issues such as responsible gambling and ranking the top online casinos, the site stands out by addressing the real-world consequences of its operations on the environment. By taking action to reduce its CO2 emissions, it serves as an inspiration for others in the industry to follow suit and make a positive impact.
However, some sites are starting to take a step towards proper CO2 neutrality - spearheaded by BestNewZealandCasinos.com. As a participant in the CO2 Neutral Websites initiative, the site has managed to nullify its own carbon emissions through the construction of new renewable energy sources and other related efforts.
Whether a site is an actual casino platform or dedicated to reviewing existing casinos, carbon emissions are a real concern. These sites are used by thousands of people daily, with information flooding back and forth as on-page details update and servers are stressed from an influx of customers.
This, naturally, makes pollution a very real concern. A single site might not seem like that much of an environmental hazard, but the online casino industry is vast, encompassing thousands of sites that all have their own power-hungry servers running them. Each one of those sites is contributing CO2 to the atmosphere, whether they like it or not - but there are ways for them to massively reduce the impact.
This gets even more intense when you consider that a lot of these sites are also linked to additional power-using fields like cryptocurrency, online gaming, money exchanges, and dozens of online payment methods that are all running their own server systems too.
BestNewZealandCasinos.com has taken a decisive step towards eliminating this problem. Written by Andrew Stone (https://twitter.com/realandrewstone) and now officially listed on the CO2 Neutral Websites contribution page at https://www.co2neutralwebsite.com/certificate/7198/en, the site has been able to achieve something that very few in the casino industry have considered.
While it would take quite a long time for the majority of sites in the industry to achieve full carbon neutrality, this is still a huge step forward. While many casino sites are already making slow efforts to cut down on their energy usage and wastefulness, casino review sites often go unnoticed.
Having Best New Zealand Casinos achieving this so easily has opened the floodgates for a lot more sites to follow in the future, which could massively cut down on the amount of energy wasted by these sites. If nothing else, it should at least lead to more of these platforms trying to counteract their energy usage through renewable energy sources.
Of course, not all sites are going to follow suit straight away. Nobody can predict when - or if - the majority of these sites will decide to prioritize renewable energy over their own consistent profits. All we know is that more and more websites are starting to take note of the impact, and Andrew Stone has been the brain behind one of the most notable examples.
